i NEED this coat!

Peter Jensen AW10

I'm just so in love with how cute Peter Jensen's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection is.
I definitely think I've got a bit of an obsession with the 'school girl' vibe this year,
as do the AW10 collections.
School girl chic is the way forward!

NYFW Favourites

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FALL 2010 COLLECTIONS
My Favourites...

REBECCA TAYLOR

I am in lust with Rebecca Taylor's Fall 2010 collection. Just everything about it.
My favourite ensambles are of course, the ones with the leopard print details.
I love the way the leopard print coat and bowler hat add an edgy look to the feminine details and soft colour pallet.
And, I am definitely loving the suede thigh-high boots.
I think this is definately one of my favourite collections from NYFW.

MILLY

School girl chic combined with french 60s fashion sums up the Milly Fall 2010 collection. Full of classic, timeless pieces such as cropped peacoats and wool mini skirts, alongside cutesy peter pan collars, waist bows and laced hemlines. The acid-bright tights add a modern, retro look to the school girl ensembles. I absolutely LOVE.

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

Diane Von Furstenberg knows how to work the feminine look. With dresses complimented by frills and ruffles, a romantic feel to the collection was unmistakable. Although Furstenberg did play around with tailoring and trouser-suits, I think the feminine dresses and skirts are the highlight of her collection. However, the tailored blazer and dress combo works for me!

CYNTHIA STEFFE

I adore the school girl feel of the Cynthia Steffe Fall 2010 collection.
Mini skirts, over the knee school girl socks, school girl pinafores and printed dresses made up the core of this collection for me.

SCHOOL GIRL CHIC

I definitely noticed a school girl vibe throughout the Fall collections. Maybe it's just because my favourite collections from NYFW all featured this school girl, innocent feel, which made these collections stand out to me. Nonetheless, I LOVE IT.

MK

This photo of Mary-Kate has made me want to grow my hair long again.
I'm on a mission.

Alexa Chung for Madewell

I have fallen head over heels in love with with Alexa Chung's debut collection for Madewell.
Made up of cute tea dresses, peter-pan collars, sweeping knee-length skirts and brogues, the collection was obviously inspired by alexa's signature vintage style. The whole collection has an ingénue feel to it.
It is very Alexa Chung, herself.
However, i have to admit that i am not crazy about the clogs...
The only bad news is that we have to wait until September until we can steal Alexa's wardrobe!

"[Madewell's] vision is kind of the same as mine, they like laid back styles, they like kind of relaxed clothes — classic, timeless things. So when they asked to collaborate, it was a perfect fit."
“I want to bring back forties tea dresses, sixties mod dresses. . . . I want to bring cute back."

"I designed it with my friends in mind. Things that they like, things that I like, things I think were missing from my wardrobe. None of the pieces are too specific; I think that everyone will find something they like." -Alexa Chung
